Welcome to Fresh Service: Saturday 31 Jul 2010

terms & conditions

Depot opening hours

8:00am Sunday - 12:00pm Saturday

Orders

Key: Weekdays (Weekends)

  • All orders must be received, on fax, by 12:45h (11:00h)
  • Any orders cancelled after 14:00h (08:00h) will be subject to a cancellation charge

For goods coming in and going out again same day, it is important we have the produce delivered into us by a set time to reduce delays. We have the following cut off times depending on your orders:

  • 16:00h (14:00h) - Any pallets requiring breakdowns
  • 16:00h (15:00h) - Scotland/North East/Ireland
  • 18:00h (16:00h) - Provincial Markets
  • 19:00h (17:00h) - London Markets

If distribution has been booked and the goods arrive after the cut off time, a charge will be made for the loss of distribution at full cost.

To avoid this charge we advise that you keep in close contact with the international transport company making the delivery and be aware of what time the goods will arrive with us. If in any doubt please contact us before 14:00h (08:00h) and we will be happy to keep the product in cold storage over night for distribution the following day.

Produce Inspection

Quality inspection is available for all consignments arriving before 16:00h, Sunday to Friday.

Minimum Charges

All orders have a minimum charge subject to location. In addition, all invoices have a minimum value of £80.00.

Claims

Whilst every effort is made to ensure early market deliveries, we will not accept claims for loss of market or late delivery. Fresh Service does not use its own staff for the unloading of produce within the wholesale markets, added to this the perishable nature of the goods mean that claims for damaged produce will only be entertained if made within 48 hours of delivery.

We strongly recommend that you confirm all deliveries to your customers each day.

Proofs of delivery are kept only for a period of 3 months; however every effort will be made to assist in solving any queries.

Collections/Returns

Collections and returns are charged on the same tariff as outgoing produce. Fresh Service cannot accept responsibility for collections made throughout the night unless a special priced job has been pre-arranged.

NB: More than 50% of collections are unsuccessful due to produce being sold, not accessible, not available or previously released.

Payment

All business is undertaken on terms of strict 21 days from date of invoice. Payment can only be made by cheque drawn on a UK bank in sterling, or by Swift or BACS payment direct to our account. This information will be provided to you at the point of an account being set up.
